Brittney is the best! She was there every step of the way to calm me, educate me, and do research when she didn't know about something.

Lydia was such an incredible support! My birth was very long & she was there from the jump, physically supportive through every contraction.

Frequently Asked Questions

A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support before, during, and after childbirth. Unlike medical staff, a doula's sole focus is on you — your comfort, your questions, your experience. We help you feel confident, informed, and empowered throughout your birth journey.

Most families begin their search in the second trimester, but it's never too early or too late. We recommend reaching out as soon as you're considering doula support so we can match you with the right doula and begin building your relationship.

Absolutely. We support hospital births, birth center births, and home births. We support medicated and unmedicated births, planned cesareans, and VBACs. Our goal is to support YOUR birth preferences, whatever they may be.

Birth doula packages range from $1,500 (The Little Mama) to $4,500 (The Big Mama). Postpartum support starts at $35/hr for daytime care. We offer payment plans on all packages. Schedule a free consultation to discuss which package is right for you.

Not at all! We enhance your partner's role, not replace it. We coach partners on comfort measures, remind them to eat and rest, and help them be the best support person they can be. Many partners tell us they felt more confident and present because we were there.

We serve families throughout Greater Cincinnati, Dayton, and Northern Kentucky. If you're unsure whether we cover your location, reach out — we're happy to discuss options.

A birth doula supports you during pregnancy and labor — attending your birth, providing comfort measures, and advocating for your birth preferences. A postpartum doula supports you after your baby arrives, helping with newborn care, feeding, recovery, light household tasks, and emotional wellbeing. Many families choose both. Marigold offers dedicated packages for each.

Some insurance plans, FSA accounts, and HSA accounts cover doula services, and coverage is expanding. We recommend checking with your provider directly. We can provide an itemized receipt to support reimbursement claims. We also offer payment plans on all packages to make support accessible.

The best way to find out is a free consultation — no pressure, just a real conversation. We'll talk through your birth vision, answer your questions, and introduce you to the doula who's the best fit for your personality and preferences. Most families tell us they knew within the first few minutes.

Our doulas hold certifications in birth doula support, postpartum doula care, lactation counseling, and breastfeeding education. Marigold's founder Brittney is a certified fertility, birth, and postpartum doula and breastfeeding educator. All team members are trained professionals committed to evidence-based, compassionate care.

Absolutely. Doula support is valuable for all birth types, including planned and unplanned cesareans. We help you prepare emotionally and logistically, advocate for your preferences in the OR, support your partner, and provide continuity of care through your recovery. You deserve support no matter how your baby arrives.

Our free consultations are in-person — no pressure, just a real conversation about your birth vision. We'll learn about your birth preferences, answer your questions, and see if we're a good fit. If meeting in person isn't possible, we're always happy to adjust.
